Purple and Yellow Flowers

A sonnet
Purple and yellow flowers make me think of you.
Intoxicating like summer showers.
Wet but warm. Drenched by you and what you do.
A song you say? Oh, you sing. Could listen to you for hours.
You subdue me differently
like arbitrary toffee.
You come over me like blue tiffany,
but are consistent like everyday coffee.
Your touch is warm like summer’s sun.
Softly fades, into the dark of day.
Until nothings left. Why yes, the cold has won
until next May.
Purple and yellow flowers. Oh, a summer’s mind in time.
It is forever mine, silenced like a mime.
